Question taking acidolphilous while on penicillin + yeast infection

I've been taking penicillin for the last two weeks for a sinus infection I had and now two days ago I got a yeast infection. I've never had one before but I'm sure this is what it is so I've been using garlic, yogurt, and now monistat to cure it. But I'm wondering, since I still haven't finished my prescription for the penicillin, is it ok to still start taking acidolphilus (along with the penicillin) daily to build my good bacteria & my immune system back up??? Any comments/help would be appreciated greatly!! Thanks!

Yes it's fine, I'm currently on penicillin for laryngitis and an ear, nose and throat infection and I've actually upped my acidophilus intake from 1 a day to 3 while I'm on it. It may or may not help while you are taking the antibiotics, they may just kill it off or some might survive but it certainly won't hurt anything.
