    Default polycystic ovarian syndrome..?

I'm getting worried that I have this. Before everybody says "See a doctor," hear me out..
    (this might be kinda long)

I have a gynecologist but I don't know if I trust her. She put me on the pill with little evidence that I needed to be on it.. all I did was complain about pelvic pain. She didn't run any tests or anything. I took it for one day and had a really bad feeling about it, so I never went through with it... I don't want to see her because I'm afraid she'll laugh at me, or not take me seriously because I didn't take my prescribed "cure."

    I'm against the pill btw

This is what happened.. I went to the emergency room in the beginning of November because I had swollen glands on both sides of my groin and a really high fever. While I was there, they ran a number of tests on me including a CT scan. A woman gave me an ultrasound and bluntly said "You have a lot of cysts". Oddly this wasn't written on my report.. but it kills me that she said that and never told me if that was something to worry about. The CT scan results took hours, and finally the doctors said "The reason this took so long is because we had to do some research.. you have something called Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. It's like varicose veins inside your pelvis.

When I told my gynecologist about that diagnosis, she shrugged it off and put me on pain killers & the pill. There was no WAY I was going to put so many chemicals/hormones into my body. I have since realized that my Pelvic Congestion Syndrome probably came from my childhood.. I would spend hours jumping on the trampoline throughout adolescence and it definitely screwed with my blood flow.

Anyway... 2 nights ago I was sleeping at a friend's house, when suddenly I woke up at 3 AM with the worst pain in both sides, around where my ovaries are. It was a sharp pain that caused me to start shaking.. I forced myself to go back to sleep because I didn't want to freak out my friend, and I had work the next day. I still have a but of dull pain.

I also have excessive hair growth, and my hair does seem to fall out more than it used to... I'm not overweight at all, but I seem to have a really slow metabolism.. and my weight has started accumulating more around my hips/middle (I noticed this a while ago, but I thought it was because I'm maturing) I'm only around 115 lbs, which is almost 10 pounds over what I normally am. I have acne, and constant pelvic pain that can be sharp during sex. My period is often irregular, and it's extremely late right now. My PMS is really bad and sometimes makes me suicidal. I'm not pregnant.. I'm turning 19 in a few days.

    Thoughts?

Well it certainly does sound alot like PCOS but unfortunately, I know you don't want to be told this, the only way to get a diagnosis is to go back to a doctor. If you don't like your current doctor maybe a different doctor would be a good idea?
