Thread: Cervical Polyps??

Hello all. I had been doing some research on something abnormal in my vagina. I had noticed like a string/loop of skin caught around a tampon I was trying to remove probably atleast a year ago, and it happened several other times since then. Some ladies in another forum suggested a few different things: a cervical polyp, possibly a hymen ring. I was most interested in the polyp, but I know its not just a short piece coming from my cervix, since it was able to get tangled around the tampon. So far it doesn't sound like anything I should be too worried about, but I was just curious to see what some of you guys might say. I am 21 years old, have had 1 sexual partner (my husband), have no other symptoms and I just want to get an idea of what might be in there before I go for my 1st exam on the 24th. Please reply, i'd rather have an idea of what I may be looking at when it comes to the exam, instead of going in blinded. Thanks for your help.
