Thread: Question

A few months ago I developed a horrible stomach pain at work the pain reached from my stomach into my back~the pain was so intense in fact that I began sweating and thought I was going to pass out.It happened twice in an hour.I went to my dr. that day and she was uncertain but said perhaps it was an ulcer.She gave me a medicine to take...after a month the med ran out but until this past week the pain never resurfaced.It again developed~just as intense and painful as the first time.This time however the dr ordered an ultrasound which shows a cyst on my ovary and an enlarged uterus.My family dr has referred me to a gyno. and I will be going there next week.I'm 39, have 3 children and other then having my gallbladder removed last year i have always been healthy.Does anyone know what the cyst and enlarged uterus means and what the dr may do for it?My periods are fairly normal although recently very heavy and painful.Any information anyone has would be appreciated.I'm pretty nervous since both my sisters have extensive problems in this area.The pain was soo bad that I certainly want something done if possible so it doesnt reoccur.Thank you

Hello, ahhh I am not the only one with this problem I had the same thing that you have, I went to the gyno and had an ultrasound done. It showed that I had Fibroid cysts on my ovaries and in my uterus. I am scared to death of this and am having my gyno keep an eye on this for me. My mom had this also but did not have it taken care of in time. She is no longer with us . My gyno told me that I have a good chance of having a hysterectomy in the coming months. This is nothing to fool around with, get it checked and taken care of, don't wait. Take care
