Thread: Need advice please

This looks like a wonderful forum and hopefully there is somebody here that has gone through this that can give me some good advice. Sorry this is a bit winded.

Kind of a little bit of history about myself. I am a 32 year old Female. I have been in the same relationship with a man for over 3 years. We are sexually active but haven't been recently because his job is keeping him out of state. Yeah I know . The last time we were, was about a month ago.

I do have irregular periods and have had them all my life. I sometimes get them monthly and sometimes it skips 1-2 months. Doctors state I do have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) but I don't really notice a lot of problems stemming from them. I don't think I have a severe case of it by any means. My last period was a week ago.

Recently I have started a weight loss program which began June 20th. I have always been overweight and I finally have the motivation to loose this extra body I am carrying around. So far I am thrilled to say I have lost 25lbs. I have been working out daily along with eating properly. I have cut soda fully out of my diets and I am carefully watching my calorie and fat intake. I am thrilled with my results so far and my motivation is sky high!

Hopefully that is all the needed questions.

Okay on Thursday I went to work at 1pm. I felt normal as can be. Throughout the day I noticed I was feeling funny and even mentioned it to a few of my coworkers. At one point I put my hands in my pockets and my hand must of brushed the side of my underwear and I noticed I felt a bit tender. I didn't feel anything odd, just felt it was a bit tender. I didn't think anything of it and continued on with my day.

Around 430pm, I was feeling a bit chilly...so I put on a jacket. (Now that day it was in the high 70s in the bay area) Within an hour I was a wreck. Freezing cold from head to toe. Covered in goose bumps. My teeth were chattering and my body was shaking I was so cold. My eyes turned bright bright red. I knew it was a fever. I ended up leaving work and went home. The minute I got home, I took a hot hot bath with only water. No bubble bath...nothing. I laid there for at least 30 minutes. I got out and went right to bed. This was around 9pm. Around 1130pm, I broke the fever and was sweating like crazy. I had body aches, but passed that off that it was the fever. I do not know what my fever temp was, I just knew I had one.

So the next morning I woke up feeling much better. I urinated fine with zero pain. I still had aches, but those wore off by noon. Around 2pm, I went to the rest room and noticed something very unusual. My left hand side Labia Majora is very swollen and red. It's twice the size it normally is. It's not itchy, just swollen and red. It's hard to the touch, but I figure that is from the swelling. I right away went online and most everything I found talked about lumps/bumps. So I felt and didn't feel anything. I decided I would take it easy that day and stay home from work. I spent the afternoon in bed with just a t-shirt on. No underwear no pajama bottoms. I do not notice any odd smell or discharge. It's clear and looks fine.

It's now over 24 hours later and it's still red and swollen. I still do not feel any bumps or lumps. I am still tender along the side of my leg where my underwear would be. I am also a little tender right above the left libia. I feel fine. Haven't had a fever since that one Thursday night.

Does anybody know what this could be? I went on Kaiser's website and did some research on their medical info and they had a questionairre. It stated to wait a week and if it doesn't heal to call for an appointment. I'm just trying to see if anybody has experienced this before.
