painful sex after yeast infection?
ok. so i have had a yeast infection for about 2 weeks. i took monistat 3 day for it. and it all cleared up 2 days after the cream was gone. but i waited a little over a week after the cream to heal up. ive been trying to have sex with my boyfriend but im having pain on my walls. it never use to hurt before i got the yeast infection. when he goes in and rubs up against it after a while im not sure if its still healing,to dry,to tight because havnt had it in almost a month or something else is wrong. i got the yeast infection right after my period and only had sex one before the yeast infection. if anyone knows id like to know and not have to worrie about anything. and im pretty sure it wouldnt be any kind of stds. ive only had sex with 2 guys id hope not. and im trying to find a way to go to the doctors if its serious.
Keep in mind your boyfriend can re-infect you with the yeast infection without his having any symptoms of an infection at all, so it's always a good idea if he washes afterwards.
You should continue the monistat, and try using a lubricant for a bit; it's possible you're not completely healed yet.
