    Default Vaginal bleeding...?

Hey there. I have a question I hope you guys might be able to answer.

This past weekend (Sunday to be exact), my boyfriend and I had sex and now I'm experiencing some bleeding. I didn't think too much of it at first, but its lasted for days now and I'm kind of getting worried. My first thought was that he simply was too rough with me. He used his fingers at one point and went a little overboard... I did feel some pain, so I'm guessing that's what injured me, but I happen to be cursed with a waaay overactive imagination, so all kinds of horrible things have been going through my head. Infections, diseases, pregnancy, etc...

It started out as pretty bright red, but has reduced to a brownish color and it's not as heavy, like at the end of a period. I know it's not my period, though, because my last one ended early last week.

One huge thing I'm afraid of is pregnancy. I'm terrified of the very idea of it. Could this be a sign of it? And if it is... is bleeding even normal? Could I have gotten pregnant and miscarried without ever even knowing? I've heard of that happening.

Here's some other information, if it helps:

    * We've been together for 3 and a half years and he's the only sexual partner I've ever had...so there's no multiple partners for me to worry about complicating things.

    * I was diagnosed with HPV a couple years ago, but since then, I had a colposcopy done and had Gardasil shots. My tests have been fine since then.

    * I'm on the pill and have been since we started seeing each other.

What do you guys think? Is it just a minor injury and I'm overreacting? Or could it be something more?

I'm leaning towards maybe you got nicked or something while he was using his fingers. It's actually pretty easy to do. Make sure his nails are always neat and trimmed.

You are on the pill, the two of you are monogamous, I really don't see any other reason for you to have to worry. If it starts bleeding again or starts to hurt more, I'd get in for a quick exam with your Dr.

Thanks so much for the response. ^.^ I've been going out of my mind with my own paranoia, lol.

Something I forgot to mention in the first post: There was some pain initially but immediately afterward, there was no pain at all...which is part of the reason I was worried, since I figured if he had gotten me with his nails, I would feel at least a cramp or something.

Luckily, though, the bleeding has just about stopped now. I still find it strange that it lasted so long, but hopefully it was just a nick. I'm gonna have to give him a good manicure. >.< lol
