Recently I've been feeling rather testy and my mood's been a bit all over the place. I'm not due to be on until the monday after next, but I stop taking my pill on the wednesday. And yesterday I noticed I had some discharge which was like what happens before I come on, but it was a bit early. I've also had to pee alot for a month or so too and the doctor can't find out why. Also I had sex last night, and this morning when I went to pee there was a light pink stain on my tissue. I hadn't had sex properly for over a week and a half before that cause of some antibiotics I was on. (I took two, ceased taking cause I had a reaction and then waited a week and two days before having sex again). But I looked up the causes of the pink staining on google and everything said that was normal when you're pregnant? I'm on the pill and take it religiously so I really hope I'm not, I'm petrified of being pregnant as I'm 20 and don't have a job and don't want a child yet. Or then there's weird scary infections I could have, I'm scared to death of those too =/ It couldn't be an STI cause I've never cheated and my boyfriend was tested recently cause of pain on his penis so I know it's not that. But I'm scared! I'm probably overreacting, but can somebody please help me? >_<
Take a few deep breaths and relax. It could be nothing at all; it could be stress-related; it could be a simple reaction to the antibiotics interfering with the absorption of the pill hormones.
The pill can cause sudden mood swings, spot bleeding, etc and in some cases can also increase the chances of a UTI (urinary tract infection) or yeast infection which can make you feel like you always have to pee. I'd check that first. Did you recently change pills or dosages? How long have you been on the pill?
If you're really worried about pregnancy, get a pregnancy test from your local drugstore or wal-mart; read and follow the instructions carefully. If you're still showing signs of pregnancy after a negative test, you can either wait a week or two and test again or see your doctor (of course, doctors being as busy as they are, you might end up with 2-3 weeks of waiting before you can get in anyway, in which case you might as well re-test before you see the doc!). If the test comes up positive, see your doctor to confirm (sometimes there are false positives). Everything will be okJust be calm and know that whatever happens, you have options and support!
