Thread: Ovarion Cysts?

Despite your young age, you should definitely have it checked out, for two reasons. First, there is some (however small) probability that it might be something serious. Second, if you don't go check it out, it will take its toll on you emotionally anyway because you're obviously worried about it.

I have heard that many women have benign cysts that spontaneously heal, some from an inherited disease called endometriosis. My mom and sister have it. My mom had a hysterectomy due to large benign cysts on her ovaries, but that was way back in the early 1960's. Nowadays I think they have non-invasive treatment such as electronic pulses, nutrition, etc.

This topic sounds a bit more on a medical/clinical level rather than, Gossip!!
However, how do you know it is gone? If your GYN. told you it was, what does she/he suggest..? If you have not been to your
GYN. i would suggest a visit, and voice any concerns.

At 14,I was diagnosed with a 25lb cyst on my overy.The doctor said all women get them,but they burst and you start your period.Mine...Didnt burst,and it grew over a years time and i had to get it removed.You may have Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome otherwise known as PCOS.I have it,and it is maintained with the birth control pill.Talk to your doctor sweetie,I'm 17 now,and I am perfectly fine.I dont have pains in my groin,and my periods are so much more simple.Birth control is the answer to it,and im no doctor,but you really tell the difference after your on it for a few months.Talk to your momma or guardian,and bring PCOS up to them,u can google it,and it isnt scary,its something that can be simply taken care of,you cant get rid of it,but u can prevent new cysts from forming.

Thanks to all yall. I had it checked out and it was gone. It wasnt huge, but it still has me wondering.
About 4 days ago, my stomach started hurting really bad. I thought it was my period, but then I had a huge blood spot come onto my stomach. Its starting to fade, but I haven't a clue what it came from.

I have went to my GYN. She said it had disappeared, but I think there is more to it.

If that is the case, i suggest you make another appointment, talk to her about your concerns. Make sure you walk out of her office and feel at ease. If need be, write down the concerns then you will not forget to mention something...
I did and do this occationally. It is well worth it.

I don't think anyone is qualified to answer this question, other than an ob/gyn. I would definitely go to your doctor again and have the necessary scans (ultrasound or sonogram) to determine what is going on. I am a 3-time cancer survivor, so I know how extremely important it is to have any symptomatology checked asap. It's better to be safe than sorry.
