A couple weeks ago I went to the gyno because I had a fishy odor coming from my vaginal region. I did not have any abnormal discharge or an itch of any kind. Turns out I had clamidia.
The doctor gave me a single antibiotic called azithromycin that I took on 9/20/2010. IMMEDIATELY, (as in the following morning) the smell went away!
Today it is 9/26/2010 and when I was in the shower, I was cleaning myself and inside of me was extremely thick, white cottage cheese looking discharge. I have no itch, or smell and I DID NOT have this before. I have not been having sex and Im not experiencing any abnormal cramps other than the cramps i normally experience when I am about to have my period. A couple nights ago I had a single dose of Metronidazole Vaginal Gel that I inserted into my vagina with an applicator. Im also taking Select-OB Vitamines as of the 21st.
I set up another appointment but it isnt for another month!!
HEEELLLPP??
One of the ladies can give you an idea of what the discharge is, but the antibiotic you took is very strong and it might have wiped out your good bacteria as well as the bad. That left you vulnerable to a secondary infection. The bottle, or a sheet given to you might explain the side effects. If not, you can go on line putting the name of the medicine in google and going through the results.
