Starting in June, I have had 4 yeast infections, when they go away they come back maybe a week later. Since June My skin has been extra sensitive, like itchy, red, and my face has this rash on it, almost like the lupus (butterfly) rash. but not as strong as it. it is mainly on my cheeks. (basically if i wore my sunglasses and laid in the sun), the skin around my eyes are normal skin color and all under that skin is red and blotchy.. it's weird.. and quite annoying.. I have also lost 12 pounds since then and doing NOTHING different, so I am not sure if this is from the yeast infections... Just seeing if any one has any thoughts on this.. Thanks!

Have you been tested for Lupus? It can cause soreness of the vulva and/or vagina as one of the symptoms as well as the typical butterfly rash on the face you mention, it might be a good idea to get tested, it's a blood test so nothing dramatic.

thanks for replying sarah001 and yes i have been tested. throughout last 3 years i have been going to a rheumatoligist and i am diagnosed with "pre lupus" basicallly my blood work shows i could have it but i show no other symptoms.. he says the rash on my face is not a butterfly rash because it does not go over my nose?

I think as you could possibly have it the soreness could well be related, have you tried looking for a Lupus forum? I know they exist as I've been on them myself (I don't have Lupus but they thought I might have once which is why I looked) and came across alot of women complaining of vulva soreness and sensitivity and things they'd used to help it. It didn't help me but it may well give you some ideas and also other sufferers would know about the butterfly rash and whether it has to include the nose.
