So a couple weeks ago I noticed 3 bumps in the area between my vag and rectum. From what I can tell, they are not red or swollen, they kind of blend in with the vaginal skin. I have gone to the gyno and she ran every tests imaginable- pap, every STD test and everything came back negative. They burn whenever I go to the bathroom and occasionally I get periods of insatiable itching. I also have sharp pains sometimes in my vaginal/rectum area, but I have had these for a while. My doc says the bumps are probably just cysts, but these symptoms worry me. She seems nonplussed, but I am a little concerned... suggestions?
Unless there is a scarring, obvious inflammation, or puss beginning to show up then they are very likely just regular benign cysts. They will pop up a lot for no reason and can cause discomfort but not be a major medical concern. You may be able to ask for an itching cream to calm the sensation but other than that the only other thing that can be done is a biopsy...which is again probably going to come back with benign cyst.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
