Can you get into a general doctor? You may have diverticulosis. Just go get a full out physical. Do you have any other concerns?
Hi there,
I've been experiencing offensive vaginal odor for about a year now.
At first I actually thought it was coming from my rear end - the odor is slightly fecal. But after months of trying to treat what I thought was IBS and other gastrointestinal issues, I realized it was coming from my F-ing vagina!!! How embarrassing!!!!!
I've been tested numerous times for STD's, bacterial vaginosis, etc, and have gotten ultra sounds and X-Rays and they have all come back normal. I asked my doctor about a possible fissure/tear between my rectum and vaginal canal, but she said that if this were the case, I would be experiencing actual fecal matter coming out of my you-know-what....
Treating myself with natural remedies like apple cider vinegar and yogourt seem to help only temporarily.
Am I going crazy? Am I missing something big? I'm very worried about my health, because this cannot be normal. Perhaps I left the issue untreated for so long, it is now some monster from a Hitchcock film...
I'm considering doing a big, long, intense lemon cleanse to rid myself of a possible candida infection - and also to see if any foods are causing allergic reactions by slowly introducing them back into my diet.
Has anyone experienced vaginal odor like this? It's definitely the discharge. I notice that it's yellowy and thicker once it exits my body. Inside it's greyish white.
At work I literally plug myself up with tampons to hide the smell. You guys will probably tell me to stop, but I've only been doing this recently, so, a) it didn't start the problem, and b) what else can I do?
I'm so tired![]()

Hi, thanks for your response.
Not sure it's what your talking about - diverticulosis seems like more of an intestinal issue, and like I said -- the smell is definitely coming from my vagina! Plus, I've had ultrasounds and nothing has shown up, and I'm also only 24. I think what you're talking about generally affects older women.
Have you found any research that connects diverticulosis to vaginal odor?
Thanks again.
