Oh, I forgot to mention. I'm on birth control for heavy and irregular periods to possibly help regulate them.
Long story short. My doctor started me on Tri-Sprintec (birth control) back in August, and I've been on it since, take it when I'm supposed to, haven't missed any. Have gotten normal side effects, but this one ... I think may be caused by the birth control.
I've made an appointment to see my regular doctor (who is a guy :/ the female one isn't in until Monday and I don't want to wait, I'm uncomfortable) to see if that's what's wrong.
What I'm see as of Wednesday:
- slight swelling and redness in the vaginal area
- sensitivity (especially the clitoral area)
- discharge is a lot, and comes in little white chucks and is in the vaginal area and up in the vulva
- slight itching (which I'm resisting the urge to scratch, but it's not terrible itching)
- no burning when I'm urinating
- and every now and then slight pains in the vaginal area
Everything looks ok, just mainly the vulva, clitoral area and vaginal openings (can't explain well, sorry) don't look normal.
What I'm asking is... is there anything I can do to relieve the uncomfortableness until tomorrow morning? I do have to work overnight at my job tonight and I'd rather not deal with this irritation.
Anything at all? I haven't taken anything over the counter.

sounds like a yeast infection
i know in canada these are treated using over the counter meds (either inserted or taken orally) and also a cream
this is usually what i would buy instead of going to the dr
there might be natural ways that you could google online
Went to the doctor. I don't do over the counter for certain things, because I've had bad experiences with them, but the doctor did check everything out, looked at what was going on. He did say it was a yeast infection and give me a prescription to help clear it up in a few days. It was actually $1.71 with my medical insurance, not bad! ... but hopefully, this medicine should clear it up in a couple of days? Seems to be getting a little better.
