The following has happened to me once before, however the doctor had no clue what it was. I had STI tests done (even after sleeping with only one person), and they came out negative. Anyway, the same thing has happened again I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.

After a few weeks of eating a lot of sugary food, my period was just about due and I started to display signs of thrush (I've had twice before in 2 years - the itching and discharge is the most prominent sign with me). As I am very tired of going to incompetent doctors who just seem to push me through to get to the rest of the line (I'm a student and cannot afford to see a private doctor), I decided to just let it be and see how things turned out after my period, as last time the thrush symptoms went away with my period. Anyway the vaginal itching has stopped, but I was really sore around my clitoris, and after having a look saw that I had this small (.5cm) bumps under the surface of my skin, which are firm at touch and very painful and itchy. One bump has formed a small white head, like a pimple. I also noticed a bit of minor bleeding from the folds of my labia minor, and am still discharging.

Is this linked to thrush or is it something else? As I mentioned earlier, the exact same things happened over 18 months ago, the doctor didn't know what it was and gave me no help in what to do (I ended up washing myself 4 times a day with salty water and it went away). I've heard that although STI tests come out negative a virus can lay dormant... however I've only had one partner, I know for sure he has never cheated on me and does not have anything himself.
