Before anyone bashes me about douching, I've had BV for about 2 years and none of the conventional medicine has worked. I have been on 15 types of antibiotics, several rounds, some for even as long as 6 months at a time; all STD and other tests clean; I take acidophilus daily. With that said...
I use the 3% hydrogen peroxide, right? Do I mix it with tap water, or should I go buy distilled water? What should I be putting this mixture in? Is there something I can buy from some where?
For those that have used this douche, how long did it take until you noticed it was helping and for how long did you continue? Is hydrogen peroxide really safe enough to do this with?
Just want to get some insight from women that have used this, as I am a bit apprehensive about trying it, but feel like I have no other options at this point.
Thanks!
HI, i've tried this and you should use distilled water. Tap water contains chlorine that can mess up the PH more! However, it's an immediate fix not a long term one. I have been BV free for six months now. I decided to go on birth control. During my very last period i took a course of flagyl, then i immediately started taking seasonique. I was without a period for three months....I stopped the BC, and now am fine as far as BV. I also was taking a 20billion propbiotic, i now take a 10 when i remember....In the meantime i found out i had an allergy to casein in dairy...go figure. we are only treating symptoms we have to get to teh root and i think it's individual.....
