Endometriosis

Right, I'm pretty sure that I've got Endometriosis. I've mentioned before about 'bumache' during my periods and rectal pain is a symptom. By rectal pain I mean its as if I'm physically being stabbed up the bum hole.

My other symptoms are:
debilitating cramps...I can't even describe how much it hurts...I can't sit down, I cant stand up, Walking hurts..I just AM pain.
Bumsplats for the first couple of days.
Clots during my period.
Major fatigue (always though, not just during my period)
Lower abdominal pain where I can only describe as where my ovaries would be.
Spotting between periods.
Painful sex (only during doggy style)

And as far as I know your more likely to have it if you have a sibling with it...and my Eldest sister has. How she describes her periods is exactly how mine feel.

My Dilemma is, my mums coming to the Dr's with me and I'm almost certain that no matter what I say, she'll contradict it. Even since I was little, If I think I'm ill, it's shrugged off. I've dropped a hint that I want my friend to come with me instead but she's not budging.

Now, I have a tendancy to just shut down during a doctors appointments and leave no better then when I went in. How should I go about telling him? I don't want to just jump in with a self diagnosis because I bet they're sick of them but then I'm worried he wont take me seriously and will just give me painkillers. Painkillers work for about an hour but they dont get rid of the bum pain.

At the end of my appointment I'm hoping to get a pelvic examination (despite how much I'm dreading it)

What should I say and how should I go about it?

Tell your mom she can come along but you want to be in the exam room, with the doctor, alone. Insist on it. I have/had endo, and what you describe is exactly what I went through for years. No doctor took me seriously either. I was prescribed advil, as if that would make the slightest dent in the pain!
Stand up for yourself and your health. You don't have to live like this, there are options out there. So be very plain and sure of yourself when you go in there. Don't let your mother shrug you off, don't let the doctor minimize your pain. Keep seeing doctor after doctor until you find one that takes you seriously.
My mom took me to every gyno in 3 different cities before I got a nurse to take me seriously at a planned parenthood clinic of all places.

I went with a friend, the Doctor just completely shrugged off anything I said...This is what he said 'when someone comes here sneezing, is it a cold or tuberculosis...similar symptoms but its a cold. You just have PMS'

F' OFF IS IT JUST PMS! It wasn't even my Doctor either, it was some stand in. He was a joke. Even my friend said 'Well he had his mind set on pms didnt he!'

He tried to put me back on the pill as if it would help...I've had these symptoms since I was 12 mate...If anything, both pills I've tried made me worse. Turned me into a psycho. I refused. So instead he's put me on some kind of acid tablets to stop the clotting but thats it...Oh! And he's testing me for Anemia for some reason which is beyond me! It didn't even come up in conversation.

He even had the cheek to say 'Try stronger pain killers' If they were stronger, Theyd be tranquilisers.

I have it also they do act like its not that big of a deal at the doctors .They did try to put me on a hormone pill for a man i was like no i dont think so think of something else so they said birth control helps and gave me that it did help but i was having awful mood swings so i stop taking it.
