May I ask what your discharge is like?
...all of the above!![]()
Have had some problems over the course of the last month and looking for some answers. Hoping maybe someone else out there has had a similar experience to shed some light on what I am going through and maybe even provide some answers that the doctors have not.
A long-story-short of my "issues:" Diagnosed with BV, not sure if ever really went away after a prescription of Flagyl (horrible drug, so many side-effects, but took 500 mg 2x a day for a week)...then got my period...followed by another trip to the doctor and a diagnosis of a yeast infection. Took a 3 day course of Monistat as doctor recommended, but did not seem to go away so took another 3 days. Major itching, burning, irritation seems to be gone, but still some discharge. What concerns me the most, however, are other symptoms I now have: Pelvic pain (almost like cramps) that comes and goes, lower back pain that is also intermittent, and a odor to my urine at times.
I have done my research online, but that only gets me more confused and anxious bc there are so many possibilities for the cause of these symptoms. UTI, PID, Cervicitis... I take any health concerns seriously and do I intend to go back to the doctor, (hopefully for the 3rd and final time as I have no health insurance at the moment) but I would like to go with some ideas of what others may have similarly experienced so I can go armed with information and perhaps some better questions to ask so I may finally get answers!
Thanks in advance for any help you can give...

"Natural Hippy Mama"
It was a yellowish color and had an unpleasant smell when I had the BV. Then it was white and chunkier with the yeast infection. It never really had a horrible amount or odor at any point. But now it seems like it is more "normal" in that it's thin, white and smells more like usual. Worst symptoms now are the external irritation, back pain, pelvic pain, bloated feeling, and strong smelling urine.
