I am only 19 yrs old and have always had painful periods, to the point of passing out. About three years ago, i started experiencing ovarian cysts. Overtime it seems as if they have become more frequent. I've been on multiple birth controls for my period. Either the birth controls didn't stop the cysts or made everything else in my body go out of whack. I've started to notice too that i'm just always in constant pain with my ovaries, fatigued, breasts are tender, sexual intercourse can be absolutely excrutiating, back pain is common. I've done my research and talked to my doctor about endometriosis or pcos. She did a pelvic exam and could feel multiple cysts. When she looked back on my cyst history and the multiple intravaginal ultrasounds i had done, which further proved my cyst history, she decided to use the birth control for treatment of pcos. Although i don't doubt the polycystic part of the diagnosis, i'm wondering if endometriosis is an issue too. I'm hoping someones understanding my confusion and pain and can help me out. I'm not sure what to do for the pain or how to bring up other treatments. Since i'm so young, doctors do not want to do a laparoscopy or any other surgery and feel i'm too young for endometriosis but somethings obviously very wrong and i'm to the point of just wanting some, ANY relief.

You are not too young for endo. I was diagnosed at your age and was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 30.
Don't be afraid to tell your doctor you want answers and some sort of relieve. You are your best advocate and you know what you are going through. Don't be afraid to change doctors either if yours is not open minded.
