I went to see a doc months ago because I was feeling tired and urinating more than usual so I thought I might have a UTI. After negative results in the urine, the I took a vaginal swab. The results came out as :
White blood cells- many, epithelial cells- numerous and bacteria- nil.
He said I had an STI and prescribed medication. What's odd is the last time I'd ever been with anyone was a year and four months before but of course he didn't believe that when I said it. I took the meds and a week later saw another doctor at the same hospital and he said because there was no evidence of bacteria, it was probably something to do with my cycle and advised me to drink plenty of water.
I don't understand any of it so just wanted to ask what to make of the results.
You probably had a false positive result.
