Firstly, I do plan on seeing a doctor, but it can't be for a few weeks and I am preoccupied with what this might be.
For several months I noticed a whitish-clear discharge from my vagina. I shrugged it off as a part of my cycle at first, but it's the same all month. The discharge has no unusual odor. It also feels like I'm on my period constantly. My uterus feels swollen and my stomach sticks out more than usual.
I am also tired more than usual and have had hot flashes at night several times, though not frequently.
Finally, and most concerning to me, I can feel my cervix very easily and it is dilated and kind of soft. It has been that way for all these months (again, I at first attributed it to my cycle).
I'm slightly worried and would really like some opinions on this. If it is helpful to know, I am a monogamous lesbian and I've had irregular periods for years, but nothing my doctor was too concerned about.
I don't know... symptoms could be different. I had 4 rather large cysts removed last year. I don't know how long I was carrying them around but the symptoms that raised a red flag... I had really heavy periods and severe back pain. It felt like someone was sawing me in half (my uterus is tilted and any problems of the female parts almost always wreaks havoc on my lower back). I never had hot flashes and I honestly don't know if my cerivx was dilated or not. You should really get in to see a doctor as soon as possible. If it is a cyst there really isn't much danger... just discomfort while waiting for them to be treated. Often times depending on how big, location etc... the doctor will give you medication to take care of them. Mine were large and there were 4 of them and the size was comparable to a newborn baby. Please keep us posted on the outcome. Good luck
