Thread: first visit

Maybe that is funny, but I have never been to gynecologist. Now I got an appointment. Can you tell me something about the visit? Anything I should now before I go?

Well they are going to do a regular physical on you. They are definitely going to do a pap smear to check for cervical cancer, discharges, abnormal cervix. They are going to make you pee in a cup to make sure you are not pregnant and also that detects urinary tract infections. They are going to do a questionnaire to see if you have any problems now family history. Nothing to be worried about and relax. Just hard to believe this is your first visit. You should have one at least every 6 months. Good Luck.
