I got on the Mirana in Nov. 09. I started experiencing back pain sometime in December. I delt with it up till April 2010. I would be in tears cause it hurt so bad. In April my DR ordered a back X-ray & of course it came back normal. I knew something was not right and started paying more attention to the pain. I noticed it was comming from my lower mid section as well. I went to my OBGYN DR & he did a u/s & discovered I had a cyst on my left ovary that I would later have removed (May 2010) at 6 cm along with the Mirana. I had later learned that it didnt help with cysts. Month after month the cyst would come back. I would deal with it and if it got bad I would go see him. In Nov. 2010 I started experiencing this throbbing sometimes stabbing pain through my abdominal/pelvic area. Sometimes its intense, continuous, off & on, achy, but overall its uncomfortable & it hurts. I also get these dull aches/bloating feel down through my vaginia walls. It hurts me to have sex. My back hurts, im moody 24/7, irritable, ect. I started the Nueva Ring in Decemeber to help with these cyst. Christmas Eve I go to the ER where they inform me im constipated. After trying fiber tablets, 2 enamas, & constipation powder I was NOT constipated. A week later I was back in the ER intense back/abdominal pain where they told me I had Renal Collic. A week later I follow up with my primary DR cause the pain meds they gave me was not touchin the pain. He refers me to a gastro DR. Seen gastro DR in Jan. 7, 2011. He tells me he does believe that im a little constipated but thinks there is something more wrong with my back than my stomach. I hurt more before, during and after my periods. I go to my OB/GYN office (feb 8th) where he does an u/s and informs me that my ovaries and pelvic look normal and if I had Endometriosis then I would have basically came off the table in pain during my physical exam. My ob/gyn would not give me NOTHING for pain. Remind you in 2005 i was diagnosed with Endometriosis & Cyst. Its hereditary in my family. I call my family DR tell him what had happen. He ends up seeing me an hour later giving me back patches & an anti-inflammatory pill as well as scheduling an MRI. I go to get the MRI done and because I have my eyeliner tattoed on (something to do with the metals in the ink??) It burned my eyes uncontrollably so they were unable to do it. I call my DR when I leave & inform him the back patches works wonders but the anti-inflamatory pill is not touching the pain in my mid section. He then perscribes me Neurontin. I have been on Neurontin for a week now and I have not had no back pain what so ever. However my abdominal/pelvic area is STILL in pain. I started spotting black Jan. 31...Feb. 15 I quit spotting. Feb. 17th I started spotting red. Today (feb. 23) it has turned a brownish red. Im going on a FULL MONTH of SPOTTING along with my 4th month in constant pain. PLEASE HELP???????????
All you can do is seek the professional medical opinion like you have been doing. Getting MRIs, X-rays, prescriptions and several opinions is exactly the type of advice people are going to tell you to get but you have already done so. No one here is a doctor, some may have had complications similar to yours but the doctors are going to be the source of easing your pains.
