Okay so I am currently serving in the military, and I get frequent UTI's whenever I am sent out on orders because going to the restroom isn't always to my conveinyance(sp?). My Dr is aware of this and she gives me medicine whenever I am sent out so I can control them. But I remember going to her one time for what I thought was a yeast infection and it turned out to be a UTI, she informed me that if UTI's aren't treated they begin to show symptoms identical to one of a yeast infection. Well I just got off orders and I have a UTI and the symptoms of a yeast infection. I'm taking meds for the UTI now but I am also having the symptoms of a yeast infection. Now my Dr has also given me meds for a yeast infection since the antibiotics usually cause them as well. But this time I have a group of sores on side of my vagina I've gotten them before with a yeast infection and they went away after maybe a week. I just wanted to know if there was any other effective way of trying to heal them? I've been wearing cotton underwear cleaning myself frequently and using vagisil extra strength to get relief from the itching and burning when I walk. I normally don't take the meds I have for the yeast infection until after I've completed the meds for the UTI but the sores are getting more painful..can anyone provide any help ??? and me and my boyfriend have both been tested for STD's so I've been reassured it's not herpes.
Having a UTI you would likely be experiencing more discomfort than anything else approaching from the bladder area. Burning urination can also be typical. It sounds a lot more like a yeast infection, however visit your doctor to know for sure.
Before you are taking any kind of drug from the doctor for a yeast infection though, let's assume that in fact you are currently dealing with one. I have some natural yeast infection treatments It is best to try. They are 100% natural and safe and more importantly effective!
