Hi there,
I'm new to the boards but would like what I hope to be honest opinions/advice from women just like myself. Before I start let me say I have made an appt. for the problem I am about to discuss but it's 9 days away & I'd like some input beforehand!
I'm 25 & pretty much all my years of menstruating have been difficult. I'm a chronic PMS sufferer - heavy bloating, mood changes, etc. On top of your obvious I also experience very painful cramps that radiate into my lower back & can be felt almost behind my belly button as well as down low & for the first 1-3 days my period is extremely heavy. I've been put on BC for the pain/heaviness but nothing helps & I hate the other side effects so I no longer use BC. My mother thinks it may be endometriosis. Not to provide TMI but during my period I usually find myself having to go to the bathroom (#2) more often & it is generally painful to do so in my lower abdomen. I have looked at many trustworthy sites for Endo. info & have found I match every symptom. Which in turn, scares me.
First I'd like to know if anyone has experienced all these or most of these symptoms & whether it was OR wasn't Endo. & I'd also like to know if so, was conceiving difficult or impossible? My fiancé & I have been together for 3 years & knowingly don't use protection - I have never even had a scare. I'm not jumping to conclusions about being infertile but is it possible my lack of pregnancy over the last 3 years & these symptoms are linked? I'm sure you all now understand my worry........ I'm a nanny & a current teaching student, children are my world & this is becoming frightening for me.
Any & all input would be appreciated, thank you much!!
I am only 19 and started my period about 10 yrs ago and have trouble since. My periods are very heavy and extremely painful. I have passed out plently of times and have radiating back and rectum pain with and before/ after my periods. Within the past 5, almost 6 yrs, I have had tons of ovarian cysts and am being treated for pcos. I have also noticed I have many endometriosis symptoms, which runs in my family along with basically every other ovarian problem, and have experienced very painful sex. So I feel your pain so to speak lol. Drs seem to not want to do much for me since I am "so young". I am concerned about my fertility since I am young and eventually want kids. Also my sister has many of the same issues and is having trouble conceiving. I wish I had some advice. But I'd love to hear what others think since I am experiencing similar issues.
