This is very embarrassing...
I'm in my 20s now and back when I was a teenager I masturbated a lot, but only on one side of my labia/clitoris (since I'm right handed). Since about 4 years ago, I noticed the side I masturbate on started to sting whenever lightly touched. So I stopped immediately, thinking the pain will go away.
I thought the skin in that area was just overworked and that it would heal with time. When masturbating, I've never overdone it such that the skin bruises or chaps or hurts- so I'm very surprised why this would happen. Could I have accidentally "damaged" the sensitive skin in that area? Is this nerve damage? But there is no discoloration and everything looks perfectly normal.
I've gone to a doctor already and she said everything down there looks perfectly normal. This doctor specializes in women's health and is the one who gives me pap smears, she also prescribes other women contraception and the like. I'm completely disease/illness free and have no other genital issues. The doctor did say she can refer me to a separate specialist gyno, but that's very expensive and this seems more like a skin issue, so I would think a dermotologist is more suitable...
However it has been getting better as before it was only stingy, now recently it's still a little stingy but the more pleasurable sensations have returned. It seems like it's healing.
Does anyone have any advice? Any medicinal remedies that could speed up the healing process in that area? Anything that could restore the "good" senses in that area, in case there's some nerve damage?
THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance!
