I missed pills 17-18 last week (Tuesday's and Wednesday's pills), but thought I had only missed one, so I doubled up on Thursday night. On Friday morning, I realized I had gotten my period, so I called my OB/GYN (still thinking at this point I had only missed one pill). The nurse said to keep taking the pills, so that night when I went to take my pill, I noticed I had missed two, and I stopped taking them. My actual doctor called me on Sunday and said to start a new pack that night, which I did, but I still have my period and it's been almost a week. Is this what should be happening?

Your body must have gotten confused. You should be fine. Do use a secondary method of birth control (like condoms) for the next few days though, to be sure.
