My birthday's today and I just turned seventeen. I also just found a knot in my pelvic/inner hip area that hurts to the touch, and it's right where I think my ovaries are (at least on the left side). There's only one knot and it's on the left, and what I've looked up and found have brought up many articles about ovarian cancer, cysts, and infertility. I plan on having children when I'm older, and this is probably the scariest thing I've ever had to go through.

Also, I started birth control last month. Last week was my inactive/sugar pills week and I got my period on Thursday and am still bleeding lightly but started my active/estrogen pills Sunday. I'm on Lo-Ostregel. Could this be attributed to it?

If you have any ideas of what this may be caused by, please let me know. I'm terribly scared. ):
