    Hi!
I went to my GYN today and explained to her that I'm having pain in my cervix. (I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago and kept the cervix) She told me there is no way I could have pain there because there is nothing to cause me any pain. I don't know what could be causing this.
I'm frustrated at her because she sat and argued with me about my hysterectomy telling me what I have and don't have anymore. She didn't even do the surgery.
Any advice????? She basically treated me like I was crazy!!!

    Thanks!

If you are not satisfied with your doctor... go to another one. I have been there and done that with doctors that just really know how to push your buttons. It's your body and your money so make the most of it!

As for your pain, there was a point in my life when sex was painful to me. I asked the doctor what could be causing the pain. She told me that when you get sexually aroused, the cervix retracts to make room. If you are not aroused enough, the cervix will not retract and the penis will hit the cervix... thus causing pain. So... I am under the impression that you could in fact feel pain. Then again, I am not an expert and cannot say for sure.

The other thought is that it could possibly be something else causing pain that is in that general vicinity. I would imagine it's kind of hard to say for sure what is causing the pain since there is so much stuff in there.

I would just find a different doctor. And don't be afraid to go to more then one. Some times it's hard to find a good gynecologist.
