I haven't had a period in 2 years. At first I thought it was because I was training for a marathon, but after 6 months of intense training I more or less rested and it did not return. I'm not health insured so I didn't think there was anything I could do beyond try to find information. After a while I noticed a palpable lump in my lower abdomen - though it's well above where the ovaries would be. I also have crazy chin hair growth. Based on what I could find out it sounded like PCOS, ovarian cysts or some other form of reproductive cyst. The problem hasn't gotten worse, in fact, on the advice of a friend I started using some cream that's supposed to meddle with hormone production or even contain hormones (I have heard of cysts being treated with birth control so it sounded plausible). After a month my period came back, albeit small, but it's been gaining momentum. It's not particularly painful, although this time there was a white discharge a few days before hand. Also, the lump (and this may be wishful thinking but I'm pretty sure it's not) seems to be getting smaller.
Yes, I know this could indicate something pretty serious but I'm apparently not broke enough or sick enough to qualify for medical aid and not r?ich enough to pay for insurance. Has anyone out there experienced anything like this
