Thread: vaginal opening is closed - congential condition?

My wife and me recently discovered that she has a condition that prevents us from having sex. Evertime we try I'm hitting a block somewhere inside that I cannot get past. This prevents intercourse and we both end up being frustrated. I know about the hymen but i doubt this is that since it is so hard to get past it. Has anyone faced this before and is there a name for this condition?

Sounds like she has vaginismus. It is treatable, but takes time and patients from both of you. The pc muscle is what is blocking you from getting inside her. She needs to purchase a set of dilators and start there. Or ask her gynecologist to send her to a therapist that deals with pelvic floor issues.
