I am new to this sight. I have been reading some of the posts. Did anyone ever try the Candida Cleanse? If so did it work? I started crying tonight, I am SOOOO sick of getting BV! My doctor is an idiot (no offense to anyone)...she swore it was because of an STD and had me freaked out but when the tests for Gohnarea and Chlamydia came back negative, it was a bit of a relief. I get bv about once a month if not more. The medicines work but only for a couple weeks. Could it be caused from another STD??

Answer to Another Sarah: Lactose as a vaginal tablet can be found under the name LadyBalance.

I meant to also add a couple of things to my post last night.

1. I've also had a problem with candida for years (it's very tough to get rid of). I personally think there is a link between candida and BV.

2. Do any of you use things to treat and prevent BV during your period or not? I've tried Balance Active gel this month on days 1 and 3 of my period (am currently on day 5 so will use it again tonight). It feels a bit of a pointless exercise though, as my PH was still 5.0 last night. I've only just got the PH testing gloves though, so I don't know how high it has been on my period previously.

Is the milk sugar still working for you and how often do you use it? Does it take away discharge?

Yes It has been working for me . I use it every other day. Take a little powder and add a drop of water and make a dough ball about the size of a pinto bean is what I do. Wait about five minutes and the ball will harden so it does not fall apart when trying to insert it.. Dont make up a bunch of it and try to save unless you keep in refrigerator or it will get mold on it due to the water you added. I keep the powder in the fridge and just make a little ball when I use it.. As for discharge I never have had a whole lot but now I do have less. And most of the time I dont have any.

Default Just started using the milk sugar.....YEAH!

Hi everyone,
Just a little history first. I have had BV for about 6 months now. I've never had a discharge, just the HORRIBLE smell. Like a lot of you, I have a VERY understanding boyfriend that deals with it. I have tried just about everything... acidophilus, folic acid, peroxide douche, yogurt, bio-fem, you name it...I've tried it. I'm a natural kind of girl anyway, so I try to do everything without chemicals or drugs.
I've been on here lurking for the last 6 months. I read and read hoping for something new to pop up. Well, I read about the milk sugar and wanted to give it a try. So I searched and searched and found some in my town. I raced there like a crazy person!!! LOL! I've only done it for two days now, but so far so good! I will def. keep everyone updated. I've also ordered the molkosan. It should be here in a few days.
I am so excited about something FINALLY working. I'm tired of getting out of the shower and being able to smell myself five minutes later. My kids have even said something(you know how honest 4 year olds can be).
I would like to see more people posting their results. I waited to order these things because I didn't see many people posting their success. So I challenge those people who have tried things to PLEASE let everyone know. We all need support and hope dealing with this problem.
The milk sugar is by the company NOW. It was about $5 for 1 lb. I found it at a health food store.

I finally decided to order the Molkosan and also the lactose milk sugar by NOW...Hopefully it will come this week so I can try it already. Im tired of using boric acid because I am not sure it is safe to be using as much as I do. I also ordered Jarro femdophilus and Nature's way primdophilus reuteri...Those are supposedly the 3 strains of antibiotics that are found for vaginal health...L fermentum, L rhamosus and reuteri. The femdophilus only have the L fermentum and L rhamosus and then the primdophilus has the reuteri strain. Hopefully these 2 probitiocs taken together will do something for me. I will keep you all posted.

My BV used to become terrible during my period - I tried a lot of home remedies - and I hate to admit it but I finally broke down and bought an online guide on beating BV and the 3-Day uses the same methods we've discussed in this forum - however what made this lady's guide absolute GOLD for me was the long term plan to keep the flora balance - I haven't had BV since I read it- if you want to check it out - here's a link to a review 3-Day Bacterial Vaginosis Cure | Cure Bacterial Vaginosis Privately at Home with this Natural Cure for BV .
I really don't believe there is a book out there that has "secrets" to curing BV and only if you buy the book you will know those secrets. If I bought the book and found there really were secrets to getting rid of BV, I would be sharing the secrets to everyone on this forum instead of advertising the book because I know how BV makes a woman feel and I'm sure that someone would have already shared over the internet what those secrets were if they have bought the book also. I have thought about buying these books before because I am desperate but I have to remind myself that its probably a waste of money (as was tons of other things I have tried, including Enzara, Femanol, Lady Balance), and that there is not going to be anything different in that book than what I am reading on the internet for free or from what my doctors tell me.

Talking hello

I am in the process of reading this thread, and wanted to say that I too have suffered from chronic BV for the past 4 years. However, i feel lucky because my only sympton has ever been discharge. I am so sorry to hear what some of you are going through.
I bought fem-dophilus today, so we will see how that goes.
I also wanted to let you ladies know that apparently L reuteri is the same thing as L-fermentum. I can provide some links if you want to further investigate this.
