Default discharge after diflucan

Three days after taking diflucan I started to get a heavy discharge. No odor, no itching, nothing that resembles an infection. I really believe my body is relieving itself of yeast too. I had a LOT of muscle pain and joint pain these past days and since the discharge even that is going away. I was diagnosed with lyme back in 99' and took tons of antibiotics. I'm taking diflucan because a German doctor had lyme went on diflucan and all lyme symptoms vanished. I went to my doctor and showed him the site. Diflucan stops an enzyme produced by the borreliosis bacteria therfore rendering it useless and it stops producing. Allowing your body to stop the inflammation process. Therefore, allowing it to heal. I hope this helps anyone out there searching for help with lyme pain. God knows I've had tons of pain for 10 years and now I am starting to feel better. Good luck!

Well, just took my 2nd dose of Diflucan, this is the yeast infection that won't quit. UGH!!!! Then I told my stupid a** ex boyfriend about my prescription for AVC cream. I didn't go into detail with him but told him it was b/c my pap came back abnormal, so he tells me abnormal paps means HPV and he knows b/c he's a biology major and they learned about that. He made me sooooooo mad, b/c I'm thinking no it's b/c I had BV when I got the pap done. MEN HAVE NO IDEA!!!! I'm just annoyed.

After an exam, my doctor said I had a bacterial infection (I am assuming BV)and he put me on Metronidazole which didn't help. I have used it twice now and I still have the symptoms. I went to a new gyno and she was so rude and said nothing was wrong with me, but all she did was an exam and didn't actually send any samples to a lab. She didn't do a blood test or urine test. I am so confused now because I know something is wrong with me but what??

Also, since the antibiotics didn't work I was wondering if anyone has tried RepHresh Pro-B. It's OTC and I just saw a comercial for it. It's supposed to help with yeast and bacteria. I was curious if it helps, so if anyone has tried it please let me know. thanks.

Unless you can get it in a pharmacy I would avoid anything you see on tv. Generally those are fraud ads made by people trying to make a quick buck. Stick to the doctors, or even the pharmacist for optional medications....they went to school for that exact reason.

Lightbulb Cronic Vaginosis

Hello ladies. I too have been suffering for almost a full year now with these symptoms. I remember the days when I loved to taste his chin afterwards because everything was smelling and functioning normal. Now I am embarrased and afraid to even be intimate with him at all! I have been through an emotional rollercoaster with all of this! from blaming him to blaming myself and feeling ashamed! I'm done feeling this way!
I do believe in natural medicine, and truly have seen miracles work on everything from warts to cancer patients! My own grandfather has beaten 3 different types of cancer through natural medicine! Probiotics and something called Transfer Factor to be precise. I spoke with my step-mother who has studied natural medicine & herbs for many years and is also a surgical nurse. She suggested this product called Femmesil. You can read up on it and make your own assessment. I just purchased this product, and will surely post again to let you know my results with this once I have received it and tested it out.
I have had the "fishy smell" and white discharge every month since last August! It has gone away after the Metrogel my OBGYN prescribed, but it always comes back after or just before my period. I too have washed hands, obstained from sex, worn loose clothing, changed everything! But every month it just keeps coming back! I pray this works!

Has anyone else heard of Femmesil that the above poster talks about? It sounds too good to be true, just like all the other over-the-counter products.

I just went to the doctor on Monday and she said I looked normal...UGH!! I'm so sick of doctors telling me that I am normal when I know I have a problem. Normal doesn't smell like rotten fish....I just made an appoitment with another gynecologist for tomorrow. I pray he can do something different for me. I'm so sick and tired of this nasty infection. I also just ordered the Femmesil because I am so desperate.

Lekika76 - I know how YOU FEEL! I feel the same way. I've been battling BV for the last year, after getting into a relationship with my new bf. I went from blaming him, being suspicious, self conscious, disgusted, embarrassed and now just depressed and frustrated. I've been on countless rounds of antibiotics, taking folic acid, Fem-D probiotics, taking showers after sex. I'm afraid to be intimate and I'm starting to be afraid my bf will leave me because of all this trouble! So many questions: is it diet related? sex related? tight clothes? lowered immune system? WHY DOESN'T ANYTHING WORK FOR ME??? I feel so bad like I'm defective. On another post someone told me the probiotics take at least 2 months to help your vaginal flora become "good again". Any one have something that has worked long term??

Angelhalo052010 - I get the same thing from my regular GP. I went in last week, told her about the discharge and smell and she pulled out the spectrum and said "See, nothing in there". I KNOW HOW I FEEL AND SMELL?? Why do they not believe us or take this BV seriously? Where is all the research to find a CURE??
