Thanks Detective Sarah for all your posts and info on the Lactose. Seems to be working well for me after a couple of weeks! Love those little peas....

You may have discovered these guys yourself by now, but in case it's helpful for you or anyone else, after searching for ages for Whey Concentrate that contained high Lactose, and being told time and time again that there is no Lactose in Whey at all, I found a company in Sydney, Australia that sells Lactose Milk Sugar (100%), nice and economical at about $25. The company is GPA Wholefoods and they have a website. Waiting for my delivery tomorrow.

Hope this helps, at least with the Aussie girls.

Oh I should add that I finally did find Whey with high Lactose, so I wasn't meaning that it wasn't possible to find, just difficult and that most health food shops couldn't get their heads around what I wanted, or didn't know what was actually in the Whey in the first place.

I went back to the doctor on Thursayd. He did a DNA test and it came back negative for everything. He still gave me a rx for tindamax since I was having the symptoms. I have taken 2 days worth and I still have the stymptoms. He gave me a 10-day course but I don't know if I should take the full 10 days worth if I don't see results by at least the 5th. He said if this doesn't work, then he is going to try some hydrocortisone cream and if that doesn't work he is going to try Premarin. He did tell me that, unfortunately, there are some women who have this issue chronically. I really hated to hear that. I'm still trying to fight it though

I'm finshed day 4 of the tindamax and I am still having symptoms. I don't think the tindamax is going to work, of course, nothing does ...I ordered Ds Laboratories - Nirena Optimum Feminine Hygiene Cleanser today because it got good reviews on amazon. Has anyone heard of this or tried it before?

Default Help for BV

I began my struggle with BV about eight years ago. I can tell you I do not know why it continues to happen and I have tried everything. At this point I work to prevent it rather than cure it. My doc prescribes me the flagyl pills. I cut them in half and insert them. I do this at least twice a week. As long as I stay on schedule and don't forget, I do not get BV infections. If I lapse and don't treat myself or run out of meds, I develop BV. I hope this will be helpful. The last gyno I had was hesitant of my method and gave it to me anyway. I got this preventative idea from a gyno I had for three years who practiced for 25+ years and it works.

Wow...I have never heard of inserting Flagyl pills vaginally. And it works? How come you don't take them orally? I have taken the pills orally and they didn't work for me.

hi,
i too have had my share of BV infections and have researched the issue and asked my doctor numerous times... something i found out that helps (it does sound slightly odd), is if, right after your menstrual cycle is over, buy some natural yogurt and cover a tampon with it and use it. change it like you would a regular tampon for about 24 hours. yogurt is proven to balance the ph level in the body and it is something that keeps me from getting BV as frequent as i did.

I think I'm going to try the Femmesil (and report back, obviously. ) I lurch from BV to yeast infection and back again, so something that treats both and where I don't have to constantly work out which I'm dealing with today would be ideal for me.

Default Fem-D

Has anyone had any luck with taking Fem dophilus either orally or vaginally? I've been taking 2 at night for two weeks and just started inserting one vaginally at night. Yesterday I had a really good day, not much discharge and no odor and then today it's back!!

I'm sooooo frustrated!
