Default So tired of bacterial vaginal infections

I am so sick and tired of bacterial vaginal infections that even doctors have no idea how to get rid of, as well as the people that think that metronizadole, cleocin and other prescription based creams are the "cures" for this problem. Obviously, these people have absolutely no idea about the source of disease on a holistic level. Obviously the majority of allopathic physicians have not been trained how to find the actual root of disease and why it occurs, they only know how to prescribe a medication, which acts as a band-aid to suppress symptoms. The problem, whether cancer, bacterial vaginosis, halitosis, chronic infections of any kind, lies much deeper. You must get to the root or the source of the problem in order to find a long term cure, and the only way I have found any sort of sense in this lies in strengthening the body's immune system (which, despite the ideas of most doctors, can become impaired not only due to systemic diseases such as HIV and cancer, but due to daily lifestyle practices such as smoking, poor diet and stress.) If you get to the root of the problem and heal the body's immunity you will then find that infections do not manifest themselves on a long-term basis. I have had bacterial vaginosis, chronic yeast infections and cervical dysplasia for the past 5 years, including sinusitis, GERD, depression, warts, acne, anxiety and all sorts of recurring infections and have no underlying cases of chronic systemic diseases. Yet why do these infections continue to manifest themselves? Low immunity due to recurrent use of prescribed medications such as birth control, acid suppressing heartburn medications and SSRI depression medications. Obviously the drug companies and doctors are benefiting from the money I am spending during multiple doctors visits. But I have come to realise that it is only myself that can heal my own body through strengthening my own system with nutritional and herbal foods and supplements. We cannot leave our health up to the doctors anymore ladies, we must take it upon ourselves to heal our bodies and take control of our own lives as we only have a very short time on this earth to enjoy every moment!! I have found a lot of great information by reading Jeanne Marie Martin's book "complete candida yeast guidebook". it is worth the $20, and will strengthen your immunity no matter what ailments you are suffering from. Good luck!!!

    Unhappy Make It Stop!!

I am 24 years old and I have been dealing with hpv and chronic bacterial vaginosis for 3 years. I have tried every pill (flagyl, metronidazole, creams, inserts, etc.) and it goes away for 2-3 days and comes right back. I have changed eating habits, changed underwear, soaps, no sex and I still get it. Now its getting so bad where when I have a case of it, it makes soreness on my whole vaginal and anal area, a super strong odor, and it burns when I urinate or make a bowel movement, as well as light bleeding. All they do is tell me to go to the hospital. Where they give me about 3 different antibiotics, 3 pill bottles to take home and a shot in the rear. It does clear up but never goes away. Now the medicine is giving me headaches and nausea. Does anyone out there no what I can do?? Please help.

    Default Homeopathic Remedies

I have also had many problems with BV for AGES. My immediate relief has been found in the form of a homeopath. A more expensive remedy but works immediately and by the time you have paid out for so many prescriptions with the doc you will probably have made a saving! 3 X Pulsatilla 30c (available over the counter in most pharmacy's homeopath range) over 3 days worked for me, however you should get diagnosed by a trained homeopath as remedy is based on emotional causes as well as physical. Bonus = no internal examination needed :-) It will linger here and there but starts healing within a month and the smell goes straight away I am also prone to warts, sinusitus and after a month seeing how the pulsatilla went, I have been given thuja 30c which is wart, sinus based plus is helping BV further. Prior to this I was using apple cider vinegar which - GREAT - works for a day or two but also smells itself and a girl doesn't have to keep living like this! Go 4 it, take a chance on pulsatilla or thuja or book an apptmt with your nearest homeopath. Danger in going alone is that remedies can bring out other mild symptoms (pulsatilla got rid of my BV but brought on headaches, hence thuja) so they may need to give u follow up remedy. Good Luck

Thumbs up Help is Here....Read on

Girls I know what a headache this can be...I am asking you guys to try the following, and I'm 100% confident that you will be happy with the results. I know this sounds weird but at this point i'm sure you are willing to do what ever it takes to help the problem. Take a Vitamin C pill (Nature's Bounty) has a very good one Vitamin C 1000mg plus Rose Hips, insert this in the deep part of your (( )) before going to bed, you will notice the next morning that it is starting to work. Do this for 3 days before going to bed. I did this myself and I was amazed of how quickly my lil problem was taken care of. Let me know, once you have tried it...it actually makes me feel good to know I've help some people with this chronic burden.

    Cheers to more confidence.

Hi Tabatha...I don't see how a Vitamin C pill could harm you, after all it is a vitamin and not a drug. But, this is something completely up to you. I inserted a Vitamin C pill and honestly I first hand noticed the results the next morning. The odor was gone completely and it was amazing on how clean I felt, I had some discharge but it was a normal discharge. Funny thing is I had scheduled an appointment to see my OBGYN for BV my results came back negative. Mind you I had called and wanted an appointment ASAP because it was just driving me nuts, I've had it on and off and constantly going to the doctor. I was told by my regular doctor to ask my OBGYN about a new treatment for BV and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it...but frustrated the only available appt. they had was two weeks away, I searched for a more natural approach. I tried the Vitamin C deal and after the first day I noticed a huge difference, I decided to try it for two more day and I have been BV free. I was super excited when my doctor told me my results came back negative, I really can't tell you how happy I was, but at the same time I was excited due to the fact a simple Vitamin C table did the trick. The cure under my nose the whole time and I didn't even know it. Best of luck to you and your baby.

I posted yesterday regarding a yahoo group on bacterial vaginosis. its an awsome chat group and very helpful. The key is Ultimate Flora Vaginal support, Folic acid,. If you happen to feel dirty or like you have BV or to get a fresh start you can douche with 2/3 water 1/3 hydrogen peroxide. The HP will smother the bad bacteria and give oxygen to the good. You need 800 mcg Folic acid at least 3 times a day. I take it 2 three times a day. I take the Ultimate Flora Vaginal support 1 time daily except if I have a yeast imbalance. Then I increase to 1 in morning and 1 at night. I have been Bv free for over 30 day. This is a first in a year. I was depressed and crying all the time. You never want to douche if at all possible but this douche is the easiest on your system. I have done it a couple of times and was fine. if you want more answers my email is tennis_luv42yahoo.com

I have had chronic yeast infections since I was 17. That is when I start using the antifungals. Sometimes I get the combo fungal with bacterial infection. One medicine treats fungal like diflucin pills (love them) and cream and one medicine treats bacterial like Metrogel (it is a pink box but it now has a generic name as well). Clumpy cottage cheese looking discharge is yeast and smelly stuff is bacterial. I always get yeast after using antibiotics because it messes up your natural flora of your body. Eating yogurt daily helps. Your partner can give it back to you so he needs to stay extra clean and ask your doctor about treating him as well. Oh the trouble we go through. I just got a yeast infection on top of abnormal bleeding but I do not think they are related. I am looking forward to getting answers on it all.

WOW, I cant believe how many women have the same problem. I have been dealing with it about ten years. I always thought I was getting bladder infections. Turned out to be BV. When I have it bad it almost hurts to walk! I also get thin streaks of bloody discharge after sex with my husband. I too have done all the antibiotics, and like many others it comes back after the menstralcycle or after sex. I'm a bit on the paranoid side though...I'm afraid to take new different drugs. Even herbal stuff in fear of allergic reactions or any other weird stuff that can happen. I'm strongly considering the peroxide douche though. How often do you have to do it? Does is burn? Gosh I feel like I am so sensitive down there I am terrified to try anything else! It's destroying my confidence though. I cant believe dotors cant find a permanent cure for this.

Default well at least I'm not alone

I have been battling this for almost 8 years. I do everything I'm supposed to, but it's my husband, I know it, because I have never had this problem with anyone else. He works on the road a lot, and when he gone and I treat this, it's gone. We've tried treating him too. When he comes home, I get it back within a few days. I do notice that when I take acidophilis (sp?) I can keep it at bay longer, but it always wins out ( I only take the Walmart kind, so it's not a high dose or anything). I have taken Flagyl so many times and I hate it, though if I catch this in time, right at the beginning I can take one or two, totalling a 1000mg dose, and it will respond immediately and stay away (as long as I don't have sex that is). We tried septra one time too. I am going to try the peroxide wash, and adding extra cultures, and I may try the vitamin c thing too. Has anyone else tried the Vitamin C? I'm wondering if that will work.
