Thread: Diagnosed with HPV TWICE and brown discharge

Hi everyone I am a new member here and I was searching for a forum that was dedicated to women's health and fell upon this site...I'm excited!!! But on a serious not like my title says I was diagnosed with HPV last year and again this year. I had Sti test done and it came clear except for the Hpv. During this time I wa ls sexually active but used protection (condom) then I started feeling sharp pains and was rushed to the emergency room an was then diagnosed with a UTI (that was about a month ago). Now recently I have been getting this brown discharge for about two weeks now and some mild cramping (and yes I am sexually active still). I am VERY VERY irregular in my period sometimes it cones once a year and get this brown discharge 2-3 days prior to my period. But not for two weeks straight and sometimes there is blood and I think my period finally came and then just stops and goes back to brown discharge (it's def not my period). I don't know what to think I don't know if it's the hpv that is doing this or something else. Can anyone help explain what this might be,what's causing it and should I be worried? Btw I am cramping as we speak

Have you talked to your doctor about the discharge? Using a condom does not protect you from HPV, but you already know that by now.

Your going to hate me for saying this but a qualified professional should be consulted. Vaginal bleeding is not normal- even if mild. It could be an indication of a more serious problem and I would hate for you to ignore it based on someone's post as it may contain misinformation.

When were you first diagnosed with HPV?
