    First thread ever!
I have lots of itching in the vulva, right on the labia, which swell up and get bright red when I scratch (I try really hard not to), then get sore. Discharge has been white instead of clear, and not very thick; it just sits in very few, fery small clumps on my labia instead of dropping straight down to my underwear as usual. Today it was mostly clear but somewhat cloudy, and very gooey, gel-resembling, and stretchy. I can hold it with two fingers and it will just hang down and not break. Haven't noticed any strong odors. I assumed it was a yeast infection, so I bought the otc 7-day treatment. It's day 8, and today I was quite itchy and swollen. I will admit that I had sex two nights ago despite the box advising me not to. I got the 3-day yeast infection treatment and started it today. First of all, is it safe to do the same treatment back to back? They say if symptoms persist to ask your doctor; unfortunately I lost my doctor when I lost my health insurance when I lost my job, and am currently flat broke. Which brings me to my second point: could this be something other than a yeast infection, something I can NOT fix with out going to the doctor? 'Cause like I said, I can't...I have had this for 13 days now and it's nerve-wrecking. Also I am putting sex on hold (other than my recent slip up..) which is not the easiest thing. I'd love some insight/advice/help. Thanks!

Sounds like an infection of some sort.

I would go ahead and try this next treatment. If that doesn't work, look into some clinics. Are there any state sponsored clinics in your area that offer free or reduced cost services? Try a Planned Parenthood as well. There should be other options for you that can get your medical care at a reduced rate.

There is a health department for my county that can give me a pap smear for cheap but I have to wait 'till mid-October for an appointment...I was really hoping I didn't have to go another month with this horrible itch and soreness, putting creams on and up there every day, and not having sex...I will post results of the 3-day treatment I'm doing. Today demonstrated no improvements
