I'm going to post this just in case someone out there is suffering through the same things I have. For many years now I have been dealing with a constant discharge ( greyish white constant and heavy)and swelling of my labia. the discharge was worse after my period and intercourse. I never experienced a bad odor except on my period but ALWAYS felt dirty and uncomfortable. After I don't even know how many doctor appointments, home remedies and hours of research on the internet and countless tears I got my doctor to treat with medications that treat ureaplasma urealyticum. This too was a bust. I felt defeated yet again. I was laying in bed crying and frustrated when I remembered a post on here by a girl named arakknya post #81 in Chronic Bacterial Vaginosis started by Altheria. It bugged me so much I got up and read it over. It made so much sense to me that I sat myself down and started thinking of anything I had done differently that could've envoked this horrible experience. I went through shampoos I used, vitamins, toothpaste brands of food- everything. It dawned on me that around the time this started I started using bottled soap instead of the same bar soap I had been using for years. That is how long I have been dealing with this! That day in the shower I didn't use any soap in my nether regions just plain old h2o. Within a few hours I started feeling the difference! I felt less puffy down there and drier! I went to the bathroom and grabbed a mirror and had a look see. It was amazing! The swelling had subsided so much and the redness was almost completely gone. Minimal dischage but still a vast improvement. I kept doing that and I'm telling you I am symptom free for the first time in years! My first period was the first normal one i've had also in years. No heavy bleeding, no raunchy odor and no horrible back pain! It was the soap all this time! I still cant believe it. It was sooooo simple! I also can't believe jusrt how much it affected my life. I feel bad at all the time I wasted being down about this but I am making up for lost time now. I feel like a normal woman again and for that I am very thankful. I always tested negative for stds and the like. Every test, every doctors visit and every home remedy I went through and it was the soap! The soap! Unbelievable! I hope anyone that has not gotten an actual diagnosis from a doctor and has tried medication after medication and home remedy after home remedy ( omigosh, the things I have put in my vagina!) will consider starting with the basics. An allergic reaction? Maybe just a sensitivity? I don't know. But I know that I am back to normal and I don't even have to wear mini pads everyday or change my panties ten times a day. Good Luck to all of you suffering from any kind of gyno issue and PLEASE if something works for you, don't forget to share your success with others.

I found out the hard way that using liquid body wash to wash down there is not good. It seemed to irritate me and I didn't feel right even after I was dried off and dressed. I now use nothing but Dove sensitive skin unscented bar soap and make sure it is all rinsed off. If I have to shower someplace where I don't have my soap, I just use plain water in that area.

Because I'm diabetic, there is frequently sugar in my urine, that makes me more prone to yeast infections. I have to make sure that area is cleaned regularly and thoroughly. A hand shower is great for that.

Zen is more of an attitude than a belief.
