I have been doing research online and was unable to come up with much on this subject. I had a beautiful baby girl in July of 2009. During delivery I tore pretty bad. They stitched me up and I healed but my sex life with my husband has never been the same. The scar tissue does not stretch and it causes me pain and discomfort.
Recently I went to the doctor with the plan of having my tubes tied (laparoscopic tubal clamping). When he did my yearly exam, I asked him about my options for the scar tissue and tearing. He told me he could perform a perineoplasty. That he could remove scar tissue and repair damage that had been done.
When I research the procedure most people that have this performed are tightening things down there, not repairing and if anything loosening them.
Has anyone had this done? What was your outcome?
My surgery for both the Tubal Clamping and the Perineoplasty is scheduled for this Wednesday 10/19.
Advice from anyone with experience with either of these procedures is appreciated.
