Cervial Cancer Scare
Hi,
I am a 31 year old single mother of 2 and recently had an abnormal pap smear for the first time. I just had a colposcopy done with 5 biopsies taken. 3 of the 5 biopsies came back moderate and 2 were severe with gland involvement. The doctor has suggested a Leep procedure. What does it mean when it says Gland Involvement with the severe dysplasia? What exactly does severe dysplasia mean? Should I go get a 2nd opinion on what treatment method I should have? Please help.

Cancer scare
I'm 24 and I had a leep procedure done when I was 16. I had gotten pregnant and found out during that time that I had an abnormal pap, however since I was pregnant the doctors decided it was best to wait until after the baby was born. I'm not familiar with the whole doctor talk, but my leep was done because of the HPV. That is what caused all my abnormal cells, the procedure itself wasn't too bad but very uncomfortable.
