I am confused, what exactly is the problem? If it is because of a missed period then the doctor is right in saying there is really nothing to worry about especially while on the pill.
This may be random, but I will try to keep it short and simple.
What can I do to prepare myself to get examined or get answers from a military doctor?
Background:
I was put on BC at 15 to regulate my periods as I only had them 2-4 times a year.
Within the last two years, I have missed three periods.
The first time, I had blood work done, and they said nothing came up in the blood work to indicate health issues.
The second time I went in, she said she could do a peetest if I wanted, but if I already took one at home (I had) then it wouldn't give different results. She also said that if I wasn't planning to have children (we aren't) I shouldn't worry about missing one or two as I did before I was on the pill. I asked her what else could be done, and she said an internal exam would be the last thing possible.
This is missed period #3 in the last year on the pill, which I am diligent about taking.
I eat healthy, I am as fit as I have ever been without an increase or decrease in my activities and I maintain a normal body fat% for my height.
No major stress or major life changing events have happened within my life.
So, with this in mind, how do I go about pursuing this issue?
Do I lie and say we do want to make a family? We don't...
Do I ask for a referral to a specialist? I would be sent to another Military DR./Corpsman before getting out of the hospital.
Part of me says forget it, it's nothing, but the other part says, nothing says O NO like a missed period...

There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
"what exactly is the problem?"
I was put on BC to help regulate it, and it is no longer doing that consistently.
I am not sure what I should ask for differently referral or medical wise.
Periods are going to vary when on the pill, and 3 missed periods in 2 years is actually quite good. It is not uncommon to be late for a period even if you have always been consistent. It is also common to have such a light period that it seems like a period does not even happen. If missing your period becomes consistent then that is when you should see a doctor, otherwise missing one period once a year type thing is not a major concern...especially if lab work comes back normal.
