I am a 24 year old female. I recently just went to my gyno about 3-4 weeks ago and got my regular pap smear and examination. I got called with the results that everything came back negative but that I had a bacterial infection (which Ive never had but they say is completely common.) So my gyno gave me metra gel which is used everynight for five nights and you put this gel in an applicator and insert it..like mono stat. (I've used monostat before for yeast infection and it really made me burn). So I used the five night treatment and every since then I burn down there and its been over 2 weeks since I've finished the treatment!! I've had UTI's often and its not that kind of burning..its actually my vagina...it is NOT red and I HAVENT had an unsual discharge..it does NOT burn when I pee either..idk whats wrong!!! Its like the gel has irritated me but I thought the burning would be gone by now. I called back to my gyno today and she just prescribed me a diflucan which is for yeast infection...but I really don't think its that or I'd itch more. If it isn't any better in a couple of days I'm calling back...but I just get really worried and stress when it comes to something down there!! Even though I was just tested for stds when I got my pap smear I think its easy to worry. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
