Thread: Bartholin's cyst PLUS cervical issues - really worried

Can a bartholin's cyst and cervicitis be related? I have no STDs and swaps to confirm yet have both these conditions at once, as diagnosed by the GP. But as far as I can see,cervicitis doesn't cause bleeding and I have had 5 days of watery bleeding with clots after 21 days of my cycle which is usually 28 days regular. It's become shorter the past few months though. I also have frequent night sweats and fatigue. I've been referred to gynae for cyst removal and cautery of teh cervix but I'm worried sick it could be cervical cancer and could this also spread to casue the cyst or is it just coincidence? What else would explain why I have these two seemingly separate things going on?

The GP didn't request a colposcopy but do you gynaes normally just do cautery recommended by the GP or would they always investigate? I think my last smear was 2 years ago.
