Thread: abnormal looking cervix but normal pap smear

I went for a check up at my gynocologists because I was having some discharge. it turned out to be a bacterial infection but thats not my main concern. for the past two visits ive had at my doctors they have had problems seeing my cervix..they said they cant see the opening because there is tissue that mimics warts around it.. I was worried about it being hpv but my pap smear came back normal so now the set me an appointment with the dr that specializes in abnormal cervix problems. its not for two more weeks though and this not knowing whats goin on is driving me crazy especially cause my gyno said this may cause me to have a hard time getting pregnant and I do want kids.ive been doim my research online but im really not finding anything that matches my problem...symptoms for hpv on the cervix says there may be some bleeding but ive had none..i dont experience any pain at all..i was worried too because ive had unprotected sex with my boyfriend numerious times in the past two years and im worried about if I infected him.he hasnt said he has experiened any abnormal genital symptoms and he has no warts on his penis...im just curious as to if anyone else has had this problem and if any doctors are reading this what they think may be wronge?
