Thread: lost my virginity and now i think i have an infection?

hey so i'm 18 and i lost my virginity last week. it hurt, there was no bleeding or anything it just burned a little bit when i went to the bathroom, it was fine. a few days later i got really itchy and everything felt sore/sensitive to touch and i was very dry, i just ignored it and had sex again 2 days ago and it just hurt so bad so the symptoms continued and i checked myself out in the mirror and theres like white stuff in my vagina, its not discharge though and i tried to scrap it off but it wouldnt come off (some of it did when i got out the shower though) there are no bad smells, my discharge is normal and clear as usual... what's going on? i really don't want to tell my mum, we're not close and it would be awkward but i don't want to go to a doctor either. i've been applying coconut oil to stop the itching but thats it.. oh and we used a condom and are both STI free! help please?!

It sounds like it could be a yeast infection. You can always call the doctor and explain the situation, they may recommend you come in or if they do think it's a yeast infection, they might have you buy an over the counter remedy for yeast infection.
