Thread: Help with itching and tearing

I have been having trouble for awhile now (about 8 mos). I have 2 symptoms:

1) tearing and spliting at top of vagina area. This is where the outer lips meet together to make a 'v'. I think it may have started when my husband sliped out during sex and hit right there at that 'v' spot. I'm not sure if that is when this problem begain, but I do remember that happening. It seems that my clitoris and the 'v' area stays sore and tender all the time.

2) Extreme itching. This is also in the 'v' area, clitoris, and outer lips. Never the vagina or inside, just intense itching in the outer parts. Its driving me crazy! I thought it maybe my panty liners, so I switched brands but that didn't help

I have no irregular discharge or cycles, no odors and the only pain I have during intercourse is when my clit/clit area is touched.

Any ideas?

I had similar symptoms and went to a GP. She prescribed diflucan and gave me 3 doses to take. Take one, then wait 72 hours, if symptoms return take another. It worked for the first bit and then around the 3rd day, the tear at the v came back. I'm going to try another dose tonight. The dr said it was yeast.
