I just posted a VERY informative thread about painful intercourse. Please take a look at it. It should answer a lot of your questions!

My period ended about a week ago; however for a few days afterwards, probably about every few wipes after urinating I would see what looked like watered-down blood, not heavy though. That little bleeding has stopped for the past few days. A few days ago, at one point during sexual intercourse, I felt a sharp lower abdominal pain (right side). This pain only occurred when his penis was deep inside (I'm sorry I don't know how else to describe that.). Last night, I had intercourse again and the same thing happened only it was a little worse, and this time I felt a generalized pain in my lower abdomen for a long time after the sex was over.
Has this ever happened to anyone??
I made a gyno apt but its 5 days from now. Im kinda nervous. It still hurts..
Can anyone shed some light????

i have been experiencing a similar problem. it actually happens during intercourse and while (as you put it there is no other way to describe this) his penis was deep inside me i felt an extremely sharp pain that made me cry out for him to stop. it lasted for about an hour or two the first time it happened. the second time, last night, lasted about the same but this time there is still slight pain when i pee or use my abdominal muscles at all. the pain is in my lower abdomen, it almost feels like it is in my vagina but it shoots up to my stomach as well. the only way i know how to describe is that it feels like gas, or an air bubble. is this something i should worry about? should i make an appt. with my gyno? i've also read about endometriosis, is this something that i could have?Originally Posted by abelle82

It sounds to me that you might have an ovarian cyst. I had the exact pain on the right hand side. The pain was like a sharp mentruation cramp and extended down my legs. Sometimes after intercourse, I use to feel neasous and weak. I had an ultrasound and a cyst was discovered. My gynae said that it will dissappear in about 2mnths times. Ovarian cyst are quite common in woman and should not cause concern. Hang in there.![]()
hi - i'm not an expert but this has happen to me before. At first time i wentto see my doctor he said it could be that my boyfriend was to big for me. So i tried other things but it happened again. I wentto a nurse and i was told i have a slight infection. BUt in your case it can be something serious. And the only way u gonna find out is to run some test with your personal doctor. Tell me what you think please halla at me.

I have some of the same pain as you. I had an ovarian cyst that ruptured and caused a lot of pain. They might need to to a laproscopy to figure out exactly waht is wrong so hopefully you can get an answer I was also told the pain could be from endometriosis so that is somthing else it could be
well, i made an appt. with my gyno and they did a vaginal ultrasound on me(where they insert a tube in me and look at my ovaries). they didn't find anything but they said that the pain was most likely a cyst, which is common, that had ruptured. the pain during intercourse the first time it happened could have been him pushing on it causing pain and the second time it ruptured which is why it lasted for a few days after. i would suggest that anyone else that has this problem see a doctor to be on the safe side but not to get too worried about it, it's most likely nothing serious. just a whole lot of pain!

Hi, okay reading the posts above I now am in search for an answer myself.. I am 18 years old and healthy. When I was 16, I had sex for the first time, which lasted about 1 or 2 months, and haven't had sex since, well, as of last Thursday. My current boyfriend and I have recently decided to take that step, and it was great. One problem though is that I also experienced light watery bleeding afterwards, as well as deep abdominal and lower back pain. It makes sex more uncomfortable but not unbearable, but it's so new I don't want to take a break from it if it's nothing I should be worried about, if that makes sense...
I have had a gyno examination recently, tested for STD's (negative), I'm taking BCP; the works. Everything is healthy and they said it looked and tested normal. I am waiting for one more Cervical Cancer vaccination shot, (Gardasil- being it's taken in 3 steps), and yea... Haven't been sexual active for a while.
So my question... what may cause this that is normal? Being I really don't think anything like a cyst is there, or any infections. Could this just be from not having sex for a LONG time and starting up again? Are we just too rough about it? I see all of the negative answers of what it could be, and just curious if it is just something that isn't so serious, that just takes getting used to and will pass with more time, and somewhat "experience"?
If anyone can help me with advice I would be soooooo relieved! I've become extremely sad and worried.
Sincerely, Troubled
