So freaked out...getting hysteroscopy!
Hey Everyone,
Well, I posted on here a little while ago. I had 2 30-day long periods that happened as I was leaving a horrible, horrible job and starting a new, stressful crazy job. To make a long story short, I went to one gyno, had a horrible experience went to a new one, and an ultrasound later found out I have a polyp in my uterus.
So....the gyno recommended a hysteroscopy so that he can get a closer look at it and remove it. Believe it or not I am soooooooooooooo freaked out about this. Not the hysteroscopy itself, but going under general anesthesia. I am so worried something bad will happen and I'm just absolutely terrified. The anesthesiologist actually is going to give me a sedative before they knock me out, but that doesn't matter to me. Just thinking of the anesthesia is making me feel sick to my stomach.
Has anyone else gone through a hysteroscopy (especially people that haven't had kids before) and how bad was general anesthesia?
Please respond. I could use some answers to help calm me down.

I was under for a laporscopy. Honestly, it was nothing. You don't need to worry, really. They gave me some juice and an injection and then I just dozed off. Then (apparently 4 hours later) I woke up and remember the first thing I said was "You're done already?" Haha, it literally seemed like 15 minutes. I was a little groggy for an hour or so and then it was fine.
Just relax, you'll do just fine. Good luck.

OK, so getting knocked out wasn't completely terrifying? That is what I am most scared of...that, and having my privates exposed to everyone in the room! Hahaha. Sheesh, being a woman isn't easy sometmes, but I guess I wouldn'thave it any other way!
