Ovarian Cyst need some info
Hello Everyone. Just wanted to see if anyone could maybe explain something to me. I went to the ER in Feb with lower abdominal pain and after x-rays and ct scan they said I had a mass on my right ovary. I went the next day to Gyn who orderd an ultrasound the very next morning. The results were sent directly to him via e-mail. He then showed me the ultrasound pictures and said that I have a cyst and he wanted to go ahead and remove it. He did not tell me what kind of cyst it is but you can definetly see in the middle is a few cluster that he sstates he was alittle concerned about. Sent me for CA-125 which came back at 11.5. And the measurements for the cyst are as follows: 12cm x 5cm x 11.5cm. I also have fibroids on utrus. I am scheduled for surgery on April 23. We are scheduling a Laparoscopy withe removal of Adnexxal structures or possibly a laparotomy. My question is what kind of cyst might I have and as far as the size is what could I compare it to???apple, softball etc. Thank for any info you might be able to give me and sorry post is so long.
I had a cyst on my right ovary as well. I also had the lap. done. You're not alone in this. You're in my thoughts. As far as the size,etc. I would ask your doc. He's the only one that would know exactly. Hang in there. Take care and hugs. Let us know how surgery goes,k.

Thanks for your reply. I talked to the nurse yesterday and she stated that by the US pictures it looks as if it is a complex cyst, But we will know for sure ince he goes in. I will let you know how things turn out.
