For the past month I noticed that when I was showering and washing between my legs it stung near my perineum. I used a mirror to look down there and it looked as though my perineum was inflammed a bit and it looked as thought there was a small tear or cut. On the left side between the beginning of my perineum and the bottom part of my vagina, there was a slight bump. I ignored it as I figured it was an ingrown hair but it has continued for a month. Does anyone know what this might be before I go to the gynecologist? I do not have insurance so I thought I would ask for advice before I went.

It's best to go to the doc so you know for sure as it could be a few different things.
